Geez, I was so good there for a pretty long while with posting on my blog regularly and now I'm back to being a little sporadic. My apologies to all those who check my blog on a regular basis and have been seeing very few posts recently. Brenna has really been hogging the computer lately and I can hardly even check my email! We subscribed to this very awesome website called brainpop.com and she's on it all the time. There are tons of videos on science, math, social studies, ect.....very schooly with quizzes and everything but it's something she really wanted to get. Then there's Club Penguin of course, which is her alternate life. LOL
We've also started co-ops again with the homeschool group and that's every Friday morning for the next month or so. Brenna's group has been playing kickball and this week they are going to start on dodge ball. She's also taking an art class, which she looooves! It seems like this year she has really formed a little 'clic' with some of the other girls. I see lots of play dates in our future. :) Don't know if I can handle many more.....LOL
So this weekend we are going camping! Yea! We're going to be meeting Dea Jae and Dave at Choke Canyon State Park and staying for only two nights. I looked at the forecast and it's supposed to be in the 50's at night and around 80 during the day. Beautiful camping weather! Nice warm camp fire to keep us toasty. I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to post when we get back. Today I have been getting things ready. Every time we go it gets easier and easier and the less we have to buy. Actually this time that's all we have to spend money on is food. Camping is so cheap for us now and I love it!
Okay, well Brenna is pretending to play ToonTown in real life and it is getting very difficult to try and keep up with her and type at the same time. So I will end with a quote tonight......
"When we adults think of children there is a simple truth that we ignore: childhood is not preparation for life; childhood is life. A child isn't getting ready to live; a child is living." John A Taylor
